Industrial and mechanical educations, at the tertiary level, have begun in Cambodia since 1999 with the establishment of Department of Industrial and Mechanical Engineering (GIM) at Institute of Technology of Cambodia campus in Phnom Penh. Industrial and Mechanical Engineering Department was upgraded from Department of Industrial and Mine.
